Bedre WordPress minify vs. Optimer Scripts
Google has began to give search engine page ranking preference to fast loading sites. It will only help a little, but if it’s a matter of installing a WordPress plugin to gain that advantage, it’s worth it.
I had a little bit of downtime this weekend, and I wanted to see how best to optimize a few WordPress sites that I host on my server. YSlow is the best Firefox plugin to use to quickly see how you can optimize your WordPress site.
After running it, I realized that WordPress doesn’t minify and combine the JS and CSS files natively. SW, I moved on and installed a couple plugins, Better WordPress Minify and Optimize Scripts.
The following are the results from each of the plugins, and as you can see ‘Better WordPress Minify‘ won.
